(a) Show from first principles that . Indicate for what values of the Laplace variable s your result is valid.
(b) Show by direct evaluation that , where * denotes convolution product of two functions. Hence show using the convolution theorem and your result in part (a) above that . Note: You are not allowed to use tables of Laplace transforms for this part.

(First principle???) (a)

Thus s is valid only when s > a. (b)
