actually not high sch lvl..very simple [4(3)^k-27(3)^(k-1)]/[3^(k-1)-3^(k+1)]*[1/9^(-k)] [x^(2/3)y^(1/3)+x^(1/3)y^(2/3)]/[x^(4/3)y^(-1/3)+x] simplify and answer wif +ve indices

The powers of 3 do not agree if the answer is independent of k. I think you have typed the question wrongly. By the way, please do not cross post the same question in more than 1 section._________________
